Gaskins is a gathering place for the community and an extension of our home. We aim to be a haven; a place you can feast and celebrate or just drop by for a quick beer. Nothing makes us happier than when the farmers who grow our food can come eat with us at the restaurant because hopefully it means we are helping to make their businesses more robust and successful with our purchases. We’ve chosen a life as chef and host, so we can do what we love: feed and take care of people.
Local Purveyors: Most of our sourcing is local, but specifically all of our produce, meat and dairy. We work with Kinderhook Farm, John Fazio Farm, Letterbox, Montgomery Place Orchards, Common Hands, Hearty Roots, Whistle Down, Sparrowbush, Mx Morningstar Farm, Tiny Hearts, Blue Star, Starling Yards, The Village Green, Bonfiglio & Bread, Daughters Fare & Ale, Ronnybrook, The Herbal Acre and probably a few I'm forgetting! Our seafood is from the east coast, usually Montauk or Cape Cod. We use coffee, wine, liquor, beer, citrus fruit, olive oil and certain dry goods that are from California, Europe and beyond. But we try to choose these purveyors, winemakers, distributors based on similar goals, ethos and commitment to excellence.
