North River Hops and Brewing

  • North River Hops and Brewing

We are a micro-brewery/tasting bar/retail store behind Bad Ass Coffee on Route 9. We are a small, mom-and-pop shop and brew a large variety of rotating beers to be enjoyed both on (flights and pints) and off premise (growler fills). Additionally we sell some snacks and a variety of beer related gift items, nearly all of which are produced in NY.

Local Purveyors: Local farms and businesses such as: Harney & Sons Tea, Fishkill Farms, Adams Fairacre Farms, Beacon Farmer's Market (among others) with occasional house grown ingredients.

Production Methods: We brew using all grain and whole ingredients (locally sourced with possible) on a 3 barrel, electric brewhaus. All equipment is situated directly behind the bar, and each and every customer can be "walked" through the brewing process while enjoying their beer without ever leaving their seat.

Products: We keep three beers on tap year round: Paddle Steamer (our flagship IPA), Tarwe (hefeweizen/witte) and BLM (session amber). We keep 3-7 additional lines of rotating beers which include a variety of Belgian styles, stouts, porters, IPAs, ambers, browns, sessions and imperials.

Tasting Room: Yes

Visiting Hours: Mon, Thurs: 3pm-8pm, Fri: 3pm-9pm, Sat: 11am-9pm, Sun: 12pm-6pm

Where to Find our Products: Our brewery and tasting room is on the back side of the Bad Ass Coffee building - our entrance faces Walgreens. We are open Thursday through Monday and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Beer can be purchased directly from us in growlers (we sell 32 and 64oz sizes if the customer doesn't have their own) to take home or as pints and flights to enjoy in the brewery. We are NOT a restaurant - just a brewery - but can be found at a number of local establishments.
