Stissing House

Stissing House

Situated in an 18th century tavern the Stissing House evokes history in every corner. Warm and cozy with fireplaces in two rooms, and housing a ballroom dating back to the 1800's. From private dining rooms to convivial bar, there is a space for very style of diner at Stissing House. We can also accommodate large parties from 30-100 in our historical upstairs banquet facility.

We use local food in season from a variety of farmers and regional purveyors, and were founding members of Hudson Valley Bounty.

Restaurant’s cuisine style:

Michel Jean the chef owner is from the south of France, and his french background influences a large part of our menu. However we also have a wood burning pizza and grill that kicks out some amazing pizzas, burgers and steaks. The two biggest menu themes are France and Italy.

Local Ingredients and sources:

Herondale farm supplies all of our burger meats (lamb and beef), Black Sheep Hill provides us with free range organic eggs, lamb and pork. Full Circus Farm is our main source for organic vegetables in season, and ChaseHolm farm for cheeses for our cheese platter, Ronnybrook for our ice cram and creme fraiche, Hudson Valley Fresh for other dairy products. We also use Sol Flower farm for our fresh flowers, and some vegetables, Feather Ridge for eggs, Migliorelli for greens and McEnroe.
